Summer fan art- Teddy&Victoire

When I'm not working on creative projects for school, I find myself working on fan art to unwind. I've loved drawing my own versions of characters from books for about a decade, and with the recent updates released on Pottermore I've been inspired in the ways of Harry Potter once more! Teddy Lupin and Victoire Weasley are the 2nd generation couple making the headlines (quite literally, if it were up to Rita Skeeter), and I wanted to try my hand at creating designs for them.

This was the sketch at the half-way point. I knew initially that I wanted to scan in my pencil lines and color them digitally, so I took care to go back and clean some of the stray strokes as I went.

Finished and colored.

Character design is something I am quite passionate about, and I know that as I learn more about anatomy and keep drawing different things I'll get closer to being able to put what's in my head down on paper.
